A Bristell B23 Energic aircraft, a fully electric, two-seat aircraft, is visiting Mesa’s Falcon Field Airport to demonstrate advances in sustainable aviation.

Hosted by Avflight, one of the airport’s fixed-base operators, the event showcases the company’s electric propulsion technology. H55 is a pioneer in electric aviation and a spin-off of the Solar Impulse project, the initiative that completed the first solar-powered flight around the world, according to a release.

“Falcon Field Airport welcomes innovations that advance aviation while reinforcing our commitment to sustainability,” Airport Director Corinne Nystrom said in the release. “We proudly support efforts that make flight quieter, cleaner and more community focused. These initiatives align with the city of Mesa’s Climate Action Plan and help ensure that aviation remains a responsible neighbor and a forward-thinking industry.”
