Bristell B23 Energic aircraft runs on electricity, makes minimal sound
As the Bristell B23 Energic aircraft headed to take off from Centennial Airport’s tarmac, only the sound of the propellers turning could be heard — which was at minimal volume.
Then it flew into the sky, and the noise dimmed even more.
Swiss aerospace company H55, equipped with the B23 Energic — which is the first fully electric two-seater aircraft with an electric system to be certified under the Federal Aviation Administration — stopped at Centennial Airport as part of its H55 Across America tour. H55 said its mission is to enable the global aviation industry to reach net zero carbon dioxide emissions.
